Tin Ceilings by ShortCopperWorksOur Ceiling manufacturer is well known for its stamped sheet metal products. The decorative metal ceilings, roofs, exterior siding and ornaments are widely used in new construction and renovation of residential and commercial buildings. From its turn-of-the-century factory our manufacturer uses original machinery and production methods. Panels are made one at a time on antique rope drop hammers, resulting in better quality control with a higher degree of detail than modern hydraulic presses. Most original manufacturers of tin ceilings no longer exist. Our manufacturers’ pattern and die-making process allows them to reproduce any panel from an existing piece. Many rooms are designed from scratch, using components chosen by the customer, mixed and matched to best fit the room's size, shape and height. We have a wide range of pattern designs and sizes. Panels may be used on ceilings or walls. They are fastened to a plywood or wood-furred surface. The Hi-Art™ line consists of over 150 components, allowing for designs proportioned to fit every size or shape room. Panels may be used in almost any combination to suit your tastes. A variety of metals are available, from standard tin-plated steel, to solid copper* or Brass*, to rust-resistant galvanized steel. After installation, finishing options include clear-coating or any color paint. *additional charge All ceilings and walls must have a plywood backing. Prices start at $6 per square foot.
